I visited the shop and Butterfly House of Wings of Mackinac. I found it to be a wonderful experience. In the Butterfly House there was much care and concern for the butterflies.

If you love butterflies, then you need to stop here. There is a small gift shop, that you enter into and then you go in and see the butterflies. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. They make sure to warn you to watch where you step, as the butterflies are everywhere! There is a lot of really great photo opportunities while you are there. They make sure to check you as you leave so you don’t leave with any butterflies attached to you! They will land on you, they will crawl on your hands. Just stay calm and enjoy it.

This conservatory was well built and seems well maintained. They had an astounding variety of butterfly species and it took us nearly an hour just to find them all! The butterflies had plenty of food and foliage to flutter around.

We visited the conservatory on Wednesday, August 24th with our 4 year old granddaughter and had a fabulous time! The butterflies were magical and my granddaughter felt like she was in a fairytale.
